Expedition Leader Training Course Manager

Background
Trekforce are looking for an experienced expedition leader to run their successful Jungle Trainee Expedition Leader programme in Belize. The successful applicant will work alongside existing in country Trekforce staff and specialist instructors to deliver an existing 14 week programme. The number of trainees on each programme will normally range from 6-8 people.   

Essential
· Ability to Operate in Remote Jungle Environments with skills in jungle survival, river crossings, jungle navigation.

· Extensive group management experience with a variety of age groups

· Experience of coaching and training individuals.

· Self motivated-able to work independently and unsupervised

· High levels of drive and energy.

· Extensive outdoor activities experience e.g .canoeing, caving, climbing

· First Aid qualification

· Mountain Leader Summer qualification

· Experience of Leading Groups Overseas

Desired
Budget management, cave experience, river/rescue experience, intermediate or above level of Spanish, 4 x4 off-road driving experience and WFR or Far From Help qualification.
